Kali / Sarda River Rafting Expedition Tour - 10 NTS. / 11 DAYS

The Kali river forms the international border between India and Nepal in its upper reaches. A self-contained river journey down this river is one of the prime options in this part of the Himalaya. The river flows past terraced farms of Kumaoni and Nepali villages, fresh water streams, sandy beaches, thick tropical jungles, plantations as we travel downstream through the terai belt negotiating exciting white water. With the Mahseer making it an angler's delight, the lack of road access makes it a complete wilderness journey. After the first few days of serene float past its confluence with the Saryu at Pancheshwar (also a famous fishing spot) with the occasional big rapid, the Kali makes its final descent to the plains in the last day on river, beginning with the mighty Chooka rapid. Flowing past the terai hills after densely forested hillsides, this trip is an outdoor wilderness experience in a league of its own.

Day 01	Arrive in Delhi	Meet & Greet at the Delhi Airport and transfer by road to Hotel. Freshen up and rest. Rest of the day at leisure. Evening visit the Local Market for essential purchases. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 02	Delhi to Kathgodam	After an early Breakfast, full day site seeing tours of Delhi (Capital city of India) visit Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Humayun's Tomb, Old Fort, evening walk around green lawns of India Gate, visit local market places of your interest. Board overnight train from Delhi - Kathgodam.
Day 03	Kathgodam to Pithoragarh (approx. 7 hrs.)	Drive Kathgodam to Pithoragarh (07 hrs). Overnight at Rest House. Views of Panchuli more than compensate for the drive.
Day 04	Pithoragarh to Jhulaghat (approx. 2 hrs.)	Drive Pithoragarh to put-in at Jhulaghat (02 hrs). Raft an initiation stretch of 15 kms of Class II+ rapids passing many stalactite and stalagmite formations. Camp by late afternoon and hike to nearby village.
Day 05	Rafting Weekends	We pass Pancheshwar where the Kali meets the Saryu, and is now called the Sarda. We camp below the confluence for a relaxed afternoon.
Day 06	Rafting Weekends	The river begins to get pacy as we negotiate a series of Class III rapids. The day is marked by thick jungles and less-inhabited sections. Camp overnight.
Day 07	Rafting Weekends	Rest day to explore the surroundings, hike and relax.
Day 08	Rafting Weekends	Today, we raft 20kms to camp below the Class IV Chooka rapid.
Day 09	End of Rafting Tour departure from Kathgodam to Delhi	We begin to enter the terai jungles today with great white water and the chance of spotting a wild elephant. We reach Boom for the drive to Kathgodam. Overnight Ranikhet Express to Delhi.
Day 10	Delhi	Check in to the Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Evening visit the Local Market for essential purchases. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 11	Departure	Check out from the hotel & drive to the International airport.

The Upper Alaknanda River Expedition Tour - 8 NTS. / 9 DAYS

A self contained multi-day river adventure down the Alaknanda river. The trip starts from our base on the Ganges river near the pilgrim town of Rishikesh, and launches from the town of Chamoli river to end at Rudraprayag, descending 70 kms of a classic river run negotiating over 85 Class 3+/4 rapids!!

A scenic drive of 165 kms (6hrs) hours takes us past the town of Devprayag, Rudraprayag and Nandprayag, situated on holy confluences which later form India's holiest river, the Ganga. We reach Kaldubagarh, situated above the Alaknanda, on the road to India's holiest shrines for the Hindus, Badrinath. Enroute, we pass Rudraprayag, best known for the infamous man-eating leopard shot down by Jim Corbett in 1932 in its forests. One of the most exciting the river runs in this part of the Himalaya, we take you through thick forests and deep gorges and cascading whitewater, Foaming rapids, sandy beaches and starry nights make this a truly memorable outdoor trip.

Day 01	Arrive in Delhi	Meet & Greet at the Delhi Airport and transfer by road to Hotel. Freshen up and rest. Rest of the day at leisure. Evening visit the Local Market for essential purchases. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 02	Delhi to Rishikesh (approx. 330m / 5-6 hrs.)	Board morning Shatabdi Express from Delhi leaving at 6:55 am. Reach Haridwar at 11:30 am and transfer to Camp Silver Sands. We check into Camp Silver Sands, which is located on a large sandy beach on the banks of the Ganga river - briefing on Camp, its activities and the trip to follow. Short run till Shivpuri to get familiarised with paddling commands and safety techniques, negotiating a few rapids, like "Three Blind Mice", "Crossfire", and the "Body Surfing rapid". Return to Camp for hot tea / coffee and snacks. Campfire barbecue dinner & overnight Camp.
Day 03	Rishikesh to Kaldubagarh (approx. 6 hrs.)	An early morning drive to Kaldubagarh (6 hrs), the put in point. Enroute we stop at Devprayag, to see the confluence of the two rivers (the Alaknanda and the Bhagirathi) which meet to form the Ganga. Check into guest house upon arrival, and get personal kit ready. Overnight Kaldubagarh.
Day 04	Kaldubagarh	An early start today, we drive an hour to Chamoli and begin our river trip after a comprehensive safety check. We raft 30 kms with nearly 40 rapids today, including a possible portage at Hillary Fall. This is the spot where Edmund Hillary’s famous “Ocean to Sky” expedition ended, being unable to travel up this rapid. Lots of paddling, lots of scouts, this is the quintessential river day. We float into familiar Kaldubagarh for the night. Overnight guest house.
Day 05	Kaldubagarh to Gauchar	Today we raft from Kaldubagarh to Gauchar, rafting down a series of nearly 20 Class 3+ rapids over a 4 hour day. We camp near Gauchar, 7 kms upstream of the confluence of the Alaknanda with the Pindar at Karnprayag.
Day 06	Gauchar to Rishikesh	Today we raft till below Rudraprayag in a 5 hour day covering 30 kms of Class 3+/4 rapids, including a portage at “Kakar Fall”. We drive back down the valley to arrive at Camp Silver Sands for dinner. Overnight Camp.
Day 07	Rishikesh –Haridwar (2 hrs.) - Delhi	Relaxed morning at Camp. Post lunch transfer to Haridwar to board the evening Shatabdi home. Arrive Delhi by 10:30pm. Arrive Delhi & check in to hotel. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 08	Delhi (Full day Site Seeing Tour)	After an early Breakfast, full day site seeing tours of Delhi (Capital city of India) visit Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Humayun's Tomb, Old Fort, evening walk around green lawns of India Gate, visit local market places of your interest. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 09	Departure	Check out from the hotel & drive to the International airport.

Trek & Raft Combo Tour - 8 NTS. / 9 DAYS

LOCATION : Uttarakhand

GRADE : Easy

A short easy trek running parallel to the high Himalayas. Good views all the way, beautiful camping by the lake at Devariyatal and some great forests. The views from the summit of Chandrashilla will stay in ones memory for really long.

Added to this are whitewater rafting trips at exciting levels on the river Ganges. We raft 36kms from Kaudiyala to Rishikesh.

Day 01	Arrive in Delhi	Meet & Greet at the Delhi Airport and transfer by road to Hotel. Freshen up and rest. Rest of the day at leisure. Evening visit the Local Market for essential purchases. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 02	Delhi to Rishikesh (approx. 330m / 5-6 hrs.)	Board the Morning Shatabdi Express departing New Delhi at 7:00 am to be in Haridwar by 11:30 am. Transfer to the Camp Silver Sands by the Ganges (50 kms away) to reach just in time for hot lunch. Option of going on a 12-km rafting trip after lunch. Evening Campfire, Dinner and overnight at Rishikesh.
Day 03	Rafting at Rishikesh	Tea coffee served 7:00 onwards. After breakfast, get into rafting gear, safety briefing and raft down big volume Ganga whitewater. Raft down rapids like "Three Blind Mice", "Crossfire", "Bodysurfing", "Return to Sender", "Roller Coaster", "Golf Course" and lots more. We end the trip near Laxman Jhula. Drive 30 minutes back to Camp for hot lunch. Afternoon kayaking, volleyball or hike to a nearby village. Overnight at Rishikesh.
Day 04	Rishikesh to Devariyatal (approx. 2440m / 5-6 hrs. & 2 hrs. walk)	Post breakfast board the waiting vehicles to be driven up to Sari. The road goes along the river Alaknanda before entering the Mandakini valley. Its a gradual uphill all the way up to the beautiful lake of Devariyatal. Overnight at Devariyatal.
Day 05	Trek Devariyatal to Chopta (approx. 3000m / 6-7 hrs.)	The trail goes through the dense forest and stays on the ridge all the way to Tali. From here we descend for a while to cross a stream and then climb up gradually to reach Chopta, located in an idyllic setting having beautiful meadows and is surrounded by dense forests. Overnight at Chopta.
Day 06	Trek Chopta – Tungnath (3680m) – Chandrashilla Top (4130m) – Chopta & drive to Camp Silver Sands 4-5 hrs trek & 5 hrs drive	Start early in the morning and climb up to the temple of Tungnath and beyond. Tungnath, one of the Shiva temples is the highest temple in Garhwal and has definitely a certain mystical/religious aspect which is quite based on the spectacular surrounding and views from there. Views which go far beyond the simple views of mountains. The summit of the Chandrashilla peak provides a breathtaking 360 degree view. Evening campfire at Camp Silver Sands and overnight camp.
Day 07	Rishikesh –Haridwar (2 hrs.) - Delhi	After breakfast, safety briefing, get into rafting gear and go white water rafting down the Ganga river. After lunch drive to Haridwar & take the evening Shatabdi Express to reach Delhi by 10:45 pm. Arrive Delhi & check in to hotel. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 08	Delhi (Full day Site Seeing Tour)	After an early Breakfast, full day site seeing tours of Delhi (Capital city of India) visit Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Humayun's Tomb, Old Fort, evening walk around green lawns of India Gate, visit local market places of your interest. Overnight at Delhi.
